Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use HairGain. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

HairGain provides a personalized hair loss risk assessment based on a questionnaire and AI-assisted photo analysis, along with a personalized daily habit and tracking program.

The risk assessment, Hair Health Score, and Norwood stage estimate provided by the App are informational and educational tools based on self-reported information and AI-assisted visual analysis. They are not a substitute for professional medical evaluation.

Do not rely on HairGain as the basis for any medical decision.

You must create an account to use HairGain’s full functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.

HairGain offers subscription plans (currently weekly and yearly) billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — HairGain does not process payments directly and cannot cancel your subscription on your behalf.
• Prices are as displayed in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
• Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store’s refund policy, not directly by HairGain.

You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit to HairGain. By uploading photos, you grant HairGain a limited license to process, store, and analyze them solely to provide you the Service (generating your assessment and tracking your progress). We do not use your photos for advertising or share them with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring the photos and information you submit are your own and that you have the right to submit them.

You agree not to:

• Use HairGain for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App’s underlying technology
• Submit photos or information that are not genuinely your own
• Attempt to circumvent subscription payment requirements

HairGain is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the risk assessment, AI analysis, or recommendations provided will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual situation.

Hair loss risk assessment tools, including HairGain, have inherent accuracy limitations. Results are based on self-reported information and AI-assisted photo analysis, and should be understood as a general risk indicator, not a certain or guaranteed prediction of future hair loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HairGain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions made based on your risk assessment results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to HairGain if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via the in-app account deletion feature.

We may modify or discontinue features of HairGain at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are currently drafted with Somalia as the operator’s base location. Many solo developers publishing to a global App Store audience instead choose a well-established jurisdiction (such as a US state) for this clause specifically for legal clarity and enforceability — this is a decision worth making with a lawyer, not left as a default.
